A challenging day beneath the Spanish sun

Lance placed P14 in the Spanish Grand Prix.

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team driver, Lance Stroll, finished P14 at the Spanish Grand Prix, where he'd previously placed sixth in 2023.

Free Practice

Lance and the team focused on gathering data across different tyre types during the weekend’s Free Practice sessions.

After working on long runs during Practice on Friday, Lance and the team began analysing data to ensure they were in the best position ahead of Qualifying and the Grand Prix.

When warmer weather hit the weekend's final Free Practice session, Lance was able to gather data on how the tyre compounds performed in higher temperatures.

After experiencing contact in FP3, Lance had some floor damage which the team worked on fixing ahead of Qualifying.

Lance Stroll, Aston Martin Aramco F1®️ driver, said:

"We knew today was going to be a challenge, but it was still a tough race out there. We went for the two-stop strategy and, as expected, a lot of the race was spent managing tyre degradation. We weren't competitive enough this weekend, so we have work to do ahead of Austria to find some more performance."
